Quick and delicious pizza dough

This soft and flavorful pizza dough is whipped up in less than an hour, making it a great option for quick pizza nights. Pizza hut, who?

SERVINGS: 2-3 pizzas

PREP TIME: about 25 minutes

COOK TIME: about 15 minutes

TOTAL TIME: about 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS

4 cups unbleached all purpose flour

2 tablespoons yeast

1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

2 tablespoons pure cane sugar

1 1/3 lukewarm water, plus additional 4 tablespoons

A pinch of cornmeal

Olive oil to drizzle

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drizzle your pizza pan with olive oil and sprinkle the bottom with cornmeal. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour with all other ingredients.

  3. Gradually add the remaining 2 cups of flour to the mixture until it forms a ball. While still in the bowl, use your hands to form and knead the dough.

  4. Cover the bowl with foil, plastic, wrap, or a kitchen towel and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  5. After at least 15 minutes, uncover the dough and punch down the dough. It won’t be risen too much but this still prevents air bubbles.

  6. On a floured surface, split the dough in 2 to 3 pieces and shape into ball. Then roll out each dough piece into the shape of the pan you’re using.

  7. Transfer the dough to your pan. Top with your favorite toppings. Drizzle the crust with more olive oil.

  8. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes or until you feel its finished. Let cool for just a couple minutes before slicing to allow the hot cheese to settle. Enjoy!
