Bedroom DIY Accent Wall

It was a few months before we were about to have our 3rd baby. It was also the 3rd year in our home, and our bedroom still needed some sprucing. We had already painted a black accent wall, but it wasn’t “giving” like we expected. As nesting for baby boy continued to set in, I knew I wanted a pop of interest in our space. I scanned the net for ideas for a few weeks and then I found it. I found the wallpaper that I wanted! I clicked the link, scrolled to the price and got disappointed. It was sooooo expensive, definitely out of our budget for this project.

I was immediately discouraged, immersed in my pregnancy emotions, until I got an idea to paint it myself. I love painting and I especially love painting and drawing patterns. This wallpaper was an intricate pattern but I loved it so much that I decided to go for it. Check out the process and results in our YouTube video below!

We ended up absolutely loving the results! It was the perfect room refresh for the long days and nights ahead with the arrival of our baby boy, Ali. To this day, it continues to age timelessly.
