Flour Tortillas
These soft and chewy flour tortillas will blow your mind, and are perfectly suited for all types of tacos.
SERVINGS: 8-10 tortillas
PREP TIME: about 30 minutes
COOK TIME: 15-20 minutes
TOTAL TIME: about 45 minutes
INGREDIENTS
2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
½ TSP salt
¾ cup water
3 TBSP olive oil, and more if needed
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir in water and oil.
Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 3 minutes, adding a little water or flour if needed to achieve a smooth dough. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
Divide dough into 8-10 portions. On a floured surface, roll each portion into a thin circle.
In a greased cast iron or on a greased griddle, cook tortillas on medium heat until just lightly browned, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Serve warm.
